Join us at the Mary Heaton Vorse House in Provincetown as local author Kai Potter reads from his book, Noticing: The Quiet Season on Outer Cape Cod.
“Noticing” is a collection of essays and intimate depictions of the natural world of Outer Cape Cod. Arranged along the seasonal arc of our quiet time, it is universal in its specificity, personal, and centers on the practice of engaging with, being curious about, and noticing one’s surroundings. Kai will guide us on a unique journey through the woods, heaths, and dunes he knows intimately.
Kai Potter is an artist, writer, surfer, and landscape designer born and raised on the outer edge of Cape Cod. He grew up amongst the scrub pines, sand dunes, wild oceans, and colorful characters that shape the landscape there. He is often found wading through roadside meadows or lying flat, cheek pressed to the ground, in pursuit of a closer look.
